Our Pastor - Dr. JACK DeVRIES

Hi, I'm Jack DeVries. First Baptist Church has served as a vital part of the Sault Ste. Marie community since 1889. My wife, Patti, and I are thrilled to be a part of this great ministry as we together seek to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ in Sault Ste. Marie.

Our ministry journey over the past 27 years has included three churches in Ontario: O'Connor and Conmee Fellowship Baptist Church in Kakabeka Falls; Westside Baptist Church in Hamilton; and Calvary Gospel Church in Blind River. We have also served on the staffs of a camp, an inner city youth ministry, and a Bible College. It is now my joy to serve here at First Baptist Church in the Sault.

We have one daughter, Sheri, who is pursuing a degree in Sociology at McMaster University in Hamilton.
