Care Groups & Bible Studies

CARE GROUPS have become a significant part of our church community.
Those who are involved enjoy a family experience of caring, learning, and praying together. You won't want to miss being a part of a CARE GROUP.

ALPHA PROGRAM – Dinner and Introduction to Christianity

	Study Leader: Place: Date & Time:	Various First Baptist Church Sundays at 6:00 pm
	The Alpha Program is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions, with a day or weekend away. It is low-key, friendly, and fun – and it is supported by all the main Christian denominations. Come – and bring a friend! The current session of ALPHA has concluded. Another session is planned for the fall.

PRAYER MEETING & BIBLE STUDY – "Sense and Nonsense About Prayer"

	Study Leader: Place: Date & Time:	Pastor Jack DeVries First Baptist Church Tuesdays at 7:00 pm
	Join us for a gentle prayer time every Tuesday evening here at FBC.

MEN's EARLY BIRD BIBLE STUDY & PRAYER MEETING

	Study Leader: Place: Date & Time:	Pastor Gene Monin Knight's Inn – 410 Pim Street, SSM Wednesday Mornings – 7 to 8 am
	We especially welcome men who are working, as we finish at 7:45 to allow them to go to work — the others stay and fellowship over breakfast. Call Gene Monin at 705-253-2608 for more information. Studies are finished for the season — we'll resume in the fall.

Maurice's HOME BIBLE STUDY – The Temperaments

	Study Leader: Place: Date & Time:	Maurice Upper Helga Perkins, 30 Park Place Court, SSM Alternate Thursdays at 7:30 pm
	Dr. Florence Henderson leads this study which will meet for two sessions: Monday May 12th and Thursday May 22nd.

Doug's HOME BIBLE STUDY – "What Can We Learn from the Angels?"

	This study has concluded for the season.

LIFE & RECOVERY – A 12-Step Program

	Study Leader: Place: Date & Time:	Roger Periard First Baptist Church Thursdays at 7:30 pm
	A Biblically-based 12-Step group dealing with compulsive behaviours. Click HERE for details.

MEN's BIBLE STUDY & BREAKFAST – Leadership & Development

	Study Leader: Place: Date & Time:	Pastor Jack First Baptist Church (Parlour) Alternate Saturday Mornings at 8:00 am
	Based on the book "The 17 Indisputable Laws of Teambuilding"* by John C. Maxwell.* All men are welcome to join us! We've wrapped up for the summer – studies resume again in the fall.

Even though some of these studies are already in progress, you are always
more than welcome to come out and participate in any of them at any time.
