On July 22, 1889, the First Baptist Church was formed in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
The church began with 15 charter members and met in Dawson's Hall on Queen Street.
The next year (1890), those members plus others had erected the first building on the corner of March & Albert Streets.
On the first anniversary of the church, our first pastor was called, and our first outreach Mission was started.
On July 20th, 2014 still at the same corner, and still preaching the same message we began to celebrate our
125th Anniversary with the raising of our Anniversary Banner. And we held a special
Anniversary Celebration Service on Sunday October 19th.
We rejoice in God's faithfulness over these 125 years of proclaiming the gospel.
